Adam grew up in New Jersey loving to play baseball and explore the woods at his summer camp. He studied cognitive science at The University of Connecticut where he discovered a love of rock climbing, camping, and generally spending time outdoors.

A few years working in educational research convinced him that he should be helping people in a more hands on way and found the wilderness and Elements specifically to be a perfect fit.
