Emma grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico where the nearby mountains and desert inspired a love of outdoor activities. They moved across the country to study psychology at Macalester College in Saint Paul, Minnesota and have spent summers leading and coordinating backpacking trips at a summer camp in Vermont. They were missing the sunshine, so Emma decided to move back to the Southwest, where they are excited to be working in wilderness therapy.
Emma believes in the ways that living outdoors builds inner strength, and they are excited to teach and learn from clients and staff alike. When Emma is not working, they enjoy swing dancing and playing board games.
