Kate fell in love with wilderness therapy when she began working for a young adult wilderness program in 2004. Before working in Admissions at Elements, Kate worked in various roles in administration in both wilderness programs and a therapeutic boarding school. Kate joined Elements in 2015, and has found herself at home within the tight-knit Elements family.
For those that know her, they will say that Kate has tremendous passion and enthusiasm for her role in fostering a difference in the lives of the families Elements serves. Kate truly believes in the healing power of the wilderness. She has witnessed this in her own life, and is proud to be part of a program that introduces young men to the outdoors in such a meaningful and profound way. Kate is eager to spend any time she can out “in the field!”
Kate earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Utah State University. She also holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification.
Kate enjoys spending her free time with her young son doing anything outdoors. She’s always up for an adventure! Some of her favorite pursuits are skiing, camping, running ½ marathons, practicing yoga, and chasing her son around in his various sporting endeavors. Kate loves going to live music shows, reading, trying out new recipes, and traveling.
