Lisa was born and raised in Utah, going camping often with her family and enjoying all aspects of nature. She fell in love with the trombone after watching the Music Man and went on to study Music Education in college. Realizing she had a passion for working with people, she went to work in Hospitality, eventually getting the opportunity to move to Alaska to run a restaurant.
While in Alaska she explored the cold outdoors and learned to embrace freezing temperatures. She hiked, fished, saw all sorts of wildlife, and climbed glaciers. After meeting her partner, they relocated back to Utah to be with Family. There, she discovered Wilderness Therapy and was excited to be a part of the experiences we provide for clients.
She has been recruiting for over a decade in different aspects but enjoys sharing and inviting people to join Wilderness Therapy the most.
