Sky originally hails from the historic town of Tarpon Springs, Florida, where she grew up exploring the swamps, rivers, beaches and springs of the Nature Coast. She got her B.A. in English and Environmental studies from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville.
During her undergrad Sky spent time as a Gardening Therapy Intern at Jacksonville School for Autism, piloting their Get Growing outdoor therapy program. She also worked as an Environmental Education Ranger at UNF’s Eco-Adventure, taking K-12 youth on hikes exploring the local flora and fauna of North Florida.
Sky realized the healing potential of the natural world on a summer abroad attending environmental writing workshops in Ireland and has never looked back. She then spent every free moment traveling to North Carolina and beyond to hike the Appalachian trail, kayak, rock climb, and explore the national parks farther west. As soon as she graduated, she packed her life into her Subaru and came out to Utah.
Sky loves to love the world and hopes to use her tenure at Elements to foster a healing space of care and intention, with the eventual goal of becoming a family therapist. In her free time, Sky loves to read novels, play guitar, write snail mail to her friends, and take the path less traveled.
